Poor, Poor Kitty

When I was pregnant with Katie, one of the baby shower gifts we received was this plush Hello Kitty toy. Since Katie was about 2 years old she has carried Kitty everywhere with her.

Insert dog. We got a Petite Goldendoodle puppy in March. His name is P.D. Short for Puppy Dawg. P.D. and Katie are best buds. But to a puppy, chasing a giggling, running toddler holding a stuffed animal that rattles is the best game ever.

Poor Kitty just got washed for what could potentially be the last time. (after yesterday morning’s puke incident). Note her Swiss cheese like exterior and half-broken rattle hanging out her severed jugular.

Luckily Katie got a Stitch doll for her birthday that seems to be joining Kitty in the ranks.

  1. Oh nooo!! That’s terrible! This happened to me with a doll I got for my sixth birthday and Ginger tore her literally to shreds. Luckily my Mom had gotten another one that we were going to send to my cousin for her birthday but we never got around to it, so my Mom opened her up and gave her to me instead. I still have that doll now ;)

She let me say goodbye to my first Lissi doll, so if you want to let Katie say goodbye to Kitty (when the time is right) I suggest doing so, just so she can get closure :(

  2. Uhm. Once the spit-up is washed out, you could send Kitty to Alaska and I will patch her up! I can do it, yes I can! I’m Aunt Bee the Builder!

    Well, I couldn’t patch up the Lissi doll — she was plastic… once that’s chewed, it’s permanent…

    Love to you all!
